A poll study among prospective buyers found that sellers have to do more than require service before they can showcase their homes. Indeed, decorating improvements help have a strong impact on buyers and can ultimately affect the market value of the home.

The survey found that 36 percent of potential buyers are willing to pay a fortune for a home with a renovated interior. Surprisingly, more men than women want updated decor, 41% of men versus 30% of women want this feature.
This is more likely because women like to decorate their own homes, and men want to move without working inside the house.
When asked which house functions they would pay more for, 79 percent of buyers said they would like to pay more for a renovated kitchen. However, most of these buyers don't want to pay for a converted kitchen in a style they don't like.
Home sellers need to calculate the cost of repairing the kitchen based on the estimated price increase. The survey shows that 63% of buyers prefer a more expensive and livable house at a fixed price.
Because home buyers are willing to spend more for their dream house, but not the time or energy to renovate, home sellers who use home staging can make their house feel at home without a big project either taking over for reconstruction.
